The goal of the Evidence Based Program: Guiding Good Choices is to prevent substance abuse among future teens by teaching parents of preteens and younger adolescents (ages 9-14) the skills they need to improve family communication and family bonding.

The program is delivered in five, two hour classes and is available in English and Spanish. Please see our flier the event.

During the course of Guiding Good Choices program, parents will learn specific strategies in to help their children avoid drug use and other adolescent problem behaviors and develop into healthy adults.  Parents will learn to set clear family guidelines on drugs as well as learn and proactive skills to strengthen family bond, help their children develop healthy behavior and increase children’s involvement within their family unit.

Training cost is Free and Curriculum sponsorship from Molina Health Care will provide all participants with free training manuals  and parent handbooks.  Condition of training attendance is 2 days of attendees’ services as a facilitator  to implement program  in Prosser WA.
